The website http://www.viennacitycard.at is operated by VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS - Wiener Rundfahrten GmbH & Co. KG and is used to sell the Vienna City Card.

The Vienna City Card is an advantage and mobility card. It includes travel on public transport, the Vienna public transport network and can optionally be extended with additional digital offers ("add-ons"), such as an airport transfer or a 24-hour hop-on hop-off tour.

When ordering and purchasing a Vienna City Card via the above-mentioned website or from sales partners, the following General Terms and Conditions apply. 

In order to use the Vienna City Card and its benefits and add-ons with the respective Vienna City Card benefit and transport partners, Wiener Linien, CAT, ÖBB, Vienna Airport Lines buses, Big Bus Vienna and Vienna Sightseeing Tours, the General Terms and Conditions must be complied with.

VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS assumes no liability for the quality of the services listed in the digital overview of all benefit partners and the add-ons offered, but only for the possibility of using the services provided by the Vienna City Card benefit partners, Wiener Linien, CAT, ÖBB, the buses of Vienna Airport Lines and Big Bus Vienna.

2. VIENNA CITY CARD

 (1) Definitions

 (1.A) The Vienna City Card is a benefit-based service that offers the purchaser discounts on services and products from benefit partners and enables free use of Vienna's public transportation in the core zone.

(1.B) The Vienna City Card product is licensed by the Vienna Tourist Board, a public corporation subject to the Vienna Tourism Promotion Act. The Vienna Tourist Board is also referred to below as the "WTV".

(1.C) The purchaser of the Vienna City Card is also referred to below as the "cardholder" or "you".

(1.D) The purchase of the Vienna City Card entitles the purchaser to the benefits of services listed in the digital overview of all benefit partners, as well as optionally purchased digital add-ons. The digital overview of all partners is available to you free of charge in our web store and in the IVIE app (hereinafter referred to as the "app").

(1.E) The services are provided or made available by third parties or benefit partners of the WTV. When using the Vienna City Card and making use of the services offered by the benefit partners and add-on partners, you enter into a contractual relationship with the respective benefit partner/add-on partner and their general terms and conditions apply where applicable. The WTV or VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS assume no liability for the services offered by Wiener Linien, CAT, ÖBB, the buses of Vienna Airport Lines, Big Bus Vienna or other services listed in the digital overview of benefit partners, but only for the possibility of using the services provided by the benefit partners/add-on partners.

(1.F) WIENER LINIEN GmbH & Co KG, Erdbergstraße 202, 1031 Vienna (the "Wiener Linien") is the partner for the network ticket, which is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours on Viennese public transport once it has been validated.

(1.G) Big Bus Vienna GmbH, Walfischgasse 5/4, 1010 Vienna ("Big Bus Vienna") is an add-on partner for the Tour Ticket, which includes 24h hop-on hop-off tours on the red and blue lines as well as a guided city walk. The digital add-on can only be purchased digitally in conjunction with a Vienna City Card (24h/48h/72h). The Big Bus Ticket can be redeemed within the 7-day validity period.

(1.H) Vienna Sightseeing Tours, Wiener Rundfahrten GmbH & Co KG, Opernring 3-5, TOP 508-529, 1010 Vienna ("Vienna Sightseeing Tours") is an add-on partner for the Tour Ticket, which includes 24h hop-on hop-off tours on the red, yellow and blue lines as well as a guided city walk. The digital add-on can only be purchased digitally in conjunction with a Vienna City Card (24h/48h/72h). The Vienna Sightseeing Tours ticket can be redeemed within the 7-day validity period.

(1.I) ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG, Am Hauptbahnhof 2, 1100 Vienna, as well as ÖBB-Postbus GmbH, Am Hauptbahnhof 2, 1100 Vienna, and City Air Terminal Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H., Office Park, Postfach 1, 1300 Vienna Airport are the partners for the Airport Transfer add-on. With this ticket, the means of transportation: CAT - City Airport Train, ÖBB Railjet (First Class without surcharge), S-Bahn (S7 and REX7) and buses of Vienna Airport Lines can be used several times for the journey to and from Vienna Airport for a validity period of 7 days from activation. A City Check-In at the CAT terminal at Wien Mitte station is also included in the Add-On Airport Transfer. (2) Services of the add-on partners and benefit partners

(2.A) The services offered by the Benefit Partners and Add-On Partners are available to Vienna City Card customers for the duration of their stay (max. 7 days). The services listed in the digital overview of benefit partners are available to customers who can present a valid Vienna City Card. All partners listed in the digital overview of benefit partners or in the IVIE app or partners offering tours and transfers are obliged to make their services available to cardholders. Unless otherwise stated in the overview of advantage partners or in the IVIE app, the services must be provided in full in terms of quantity and quality within the regular opening and operating hours, provided that there are no closures due to damage, renovations or similar, and in accordance with the respective general terms and conditions of business or conditions of carriage of the advantage partners.

(2.B) You can find the current overview of all benefit partners at any time as a link and as a free download in our webshop and in the IVIE app. Due to unforeseeable and extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of WTV and VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS, information on the Benefit Partners will occasionally be amended to reflect unavoidable changes to the services offered (e.g. should a Benefit Partner cease trading or should facilities no longer be open to the public).

(2.C) The description of the services of the Advantage Partners in the Webshop or in the IVIE App is deemed to be accurate and complete at the time of creation. Notwithstanding this, the services offered may be subject to minor changes. WTV and VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS do not assume any liability or guarantee for benefits granted by the partners to cardholders. All information without guarantee. The benefits of the Vienna City Card are subject to change without prior notice. The photographs are for information purposes only and are not binding.

(2.D) The description of the add-on services in the web store and in the media is deemed to be accurate and complete at the time of creation. Notwithstanding this, the services offered may be subject to minor changes. WTV and VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS do not assume any liability or guarantee for benefits granted to cardholders by the partners. All information without guarantee. Add-ons are subject to change without prior notice. The photographs are for information purposes only and are not binding.

(2.E) In general, there may be restrictions on the use of the offers of the Vienna City Card due to the opening hours of the Benefit Partners and the operating hours of the Add-On Partners; this is mainly because some offers depend on the weather and season and therefore cannot be offered during the entire promotional period of the Vienna City Card. The opening hours in the digital overview of the benefit partners or in the IVIE app are without guarantee and the information provided by the benefit partners or add-on partners is binding (please refer to the websites of individual benefit partners/add-on partners for current opening hours and offers).

(2.F) When using the services offered, the cardholder becomes a contractual partner of the corresponding benefit partner/add-on partner and the general terms and conditions of the respective partner apply. In addition, statutory warranty claims and other liability claims relating to the services are to be asserted exclusively against the respective benefit partner/add-on partner.

(2.G) VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS is only liable for the ordering process, the payment process and the delivery or (digital) display of the Vienna City Card including add-ons in the IVIE app, as well as with regard to the applicable legal provisions in this regard. VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS and WTV are under no circumstances responsible or liable for the services and benefit and add-on partners offering the services.

(2.H) VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS will not provide any compensation if a service offered, e.g. a sight or other facility, is closed or inaccessible. Furthermore, no reimbursement will be made for offers that were not used during the stay and are no longer offered on a return visit. Furthermore, WTV and VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS reserve the right to terminate the contract with the Benefit Partners/Add-On Partners at any time for good cause, without having to compensate the Cardholders for no longer being able to make use of the services offered as a result.

(2.I) In general, neither WTV nor VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS shall be liable for any financial losses incurred by the Cardholder.

(2.1) Wiener Linien

By using the Wiener Linien ticket included in the Vienna City Card, the cardholder becomes a contractual partner of Wiener Linien. The conditions of carriage of Wiener Linien and the VOR fare regulations apply in the currently valid version, which you can read here:

(2.2) Big Bus Vienna

(3) Scope of application

(3.A) The Vienna City Card including add-ons is not transferable to third parties and may only be used by the specified cardholder and during the period of validity of the Vienna City Card selected by the customer.

(3.B) The digital overview of all current service partners and add-on partners that cardholders can use is available in the web store or in the IVIE app.

(3.C) The discounts of the benefit partners of the Vienna City Card, the airport transfer and the 24h Hop-On Hop-Off Tour can be used during the cardholder's stay (max. 7 days). Therefore, enter the first day of your stay on the Vienna City Card. The Wiener Linien ticket is valid for either 24, 48, 72 hours or 7 days and must be validated on the first journey on public transport. With the Vienna City Card Wiener Linien, one young person up to their 15th birthday travels for free per cardholder. Please note that ID is required!

(3.D) If you have purchased a digital Vienna City Card via the IVIE app, this Vienna City Card is valid for the selected validity period and is automatically validated. No extra validation is required.

(3.E) All services of the benefit partners can only be visited or used once using the discount offered by the Vienna City Card.

(3.F) The discounts offered as part of the Vienna City Card cannot be used together with other discounts offered by the benefit partner for students, senior citizens or families.

(3.G) The digitally bookable add-ons Airport Transfer and 24-hour Hop-On Hop-Off Tour can be purchased both via the IVIE app and at Tourist Info points of sale. The validity period is 7 days from activation per add-on (until 11:59 pm on the 7th day). No extra activation or validation is required.

(4) Use/abusive use

(4.A) In order to enjoy the benefits of the Vienna City Card, the Cardholder must present the Vienna City Card to the Benefit Partner/Add-On Partner to verify its validity. With regard to the ticket of Wiener Linien or the add-on tickets for the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour (Big Bus Vienna, Vienna Sightseeing Tours) or various means of transportation to the airport (CAT, ÖBB, Airport Lines buses), the respective conditions of carriage apply. The card must be validated or activated accordingly before using the means of transport.

(4.B) It is prohibited to copy, edit or forge the Vienna City Card. In addition, the use of screenshots of a digital Vienna City Card is not permitted. In the event of misuse or suspected misuse, the benefit partners/add-on partners and Wiener Linien are entitled and obliged to confiscate the Vienna City Card without compensation and to report the matter to the police.

(5) Theft/loss

 WTV and VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS are not liable in the event of theft or loss. The stolen or lost Vienna City Card will not be replaced.

 3. PURCHASE OF THE VIENNA CITY CARD

 (1) Order process/payment and delivery

(1.A) You can purchase the Vienna City Card via the webshop and the IVIE app by following the steps listed there. You can also purchase the card from various sales partners in Austria and abroad.

(1.B) The prices quoted are binding and final and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

(1.C) Payment for the ordered Vienna City Card and digital add-ons must be made using one of the payment methods specified in the webshop. Directly purchased Vienna City Cards can be purchased from the sales partner using the partner's respective payment methods.

(1.D) The following online purchase options are available to you: IVIE app and Print@Home.

You can print out the Print@Home ticket at home immediately after purchasing it in the webshop or receive a PDF document by e-mail. The benefits are available to you free of charge as a digital version in the IVIE app or as a download in our webshop.

You can buy the digital Vienna City Card directly in the IVIE app (free download of the app available in the App Store and on Google Play) via a link to our webshop.

(1.E) Digital add-ons can be booked during the purchase process for vouchers, Print@Home tickets and also in the Vienna City Card app. If you are interested in a digital add-on at a later date, after completing the purchase process, you can have it booked and activated on your Vienna City Card at any time at one of the Tourist Information Offices in Vienna at Albertinaplatz and at the airport, provided that the maximum stay of 7 days has not yet been exceeded.

(2) Right of withdrawal

(2.A) When purchasing a digital Vienna City Card and add-ons in the app, or Print@Home, you agree and acknowledge that you have no right of withdrawal if you choose the download option (in the online store) or the electronic Vienna City Card (in the IVIE app) and exercise it immediately.

(2.B) A ticket that has been ordered and purchased in our online store cannot be canceled. The date and time of a ticket that has already been purchased can no longer be changed due to Wiener Linien specifications and therefore cannot be canceled or refunded. 

(2.C) The incorrect entry of dates and times when purchasing a digital Vienna City Card is not a reason for cancellation. The date and period for using the benefits and the ticket will be queried and then displayed again for checking and can be corrected if necessary. Due to the requirements of Wiener Linien, activated tickets cannot be canceled or refunded. 

(3) Use of personal data

(3.A) Your personal data will be processed by VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS to fulfill the contract and stored for as long as necessary to process your Vienna City Card order and to comply with legal requirements.

(4) Applicable contract law

(4.A) The legal relationship between VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS and the Cardholder is subject exclusively to Austrian law. For consumers within the meaning of Section 1 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act, the choice of law only applies insofar as the required protection is not excluded due to mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which the consumer's usual place of residence is located.

(5) Arbitration board

(5.A) We undertake to participate in the arbitration procedure of the state-recognized arbitration board Internet Ombudsstelle (Vienna) in the event of disputes:
